The creation of GraphQL API tokens in be.ENERGISED has been fundamentally simplified. Now you can easily create the Pre-shared Key (PSK) in be.ENERGISED under Settings/System settings/GraphQL API Settings with just a few clicks, or add a "3rd party" configuration.
What is the Pre-shared Key and why do you need it?
To use the GraphQL API, the pre-shared key (access token) is one of the ways to authorize users, along with Auth0. The PSK can be created in the GraphQL settings of be.ENERGISED. This pre-shared key is used to ensure that a request is allowed to access the API. For more information, please refer to the GraphQL API documentation.
Where in be.ENERGISED can these settings be made?
An Access Token or Pre-shared Key can be created under Settings/System settings/GraphQL API Settings using the "Create new access token" button. You only need to enter a name for it and specify whether it should already be active or not. By clicking on "Save", the token is created.
Similarly, you can also add a "3rd party" configuration. To do so, you need the so-called "Secret" and "Public Key URL". These must be known to you and cannot be requested via the be.ENERGISED support.
