From now on, when you create a new entity in your company structure, an associated CRM contact will be created automatically.
As shown in the figure above, the CRM contact is then linked to the entity. For this reason, only the data that is not taken from the entity's data can be edited in the CRM contact's edit menu. In order to change the data that is grayed out in the CRM contact edit menu, you need to adjust it in the entity.
The automatically created CRM contact is not assigned a customer number automatically! The customer number must therefore be stored manually in the entity. Please make sure to enter a customer number that has not yet been assigned. |
If you want to link already existing entities with a CRM contact, you can do this in your company structure by selecting the entity and via "Update details". You will now find the field "Linked Contact" there. Here you can select between all your CRM contacts and link them to the entity.
ATTENTION! If an already existing entity is linked to an already existing CRM contact, the basic data of the CRM contact will be overwritten with those of the entity (the fields which are grayed out during the automatic creation of a CRM contact, such as Name, Display as, Customer no., Address, etc.). |
