Who sees what in the Dashboard 2.0?
Creating a new dashboard
After creating the dashboard
The Dashboard 2.0 in be.ENERGISED offers you the possibility to have all relevant information at a glance. It is intuitive, easy to configure and offers a wide range of options so you can see all the information that is necessary to you.
General
The Dashboard 2.0 is now automatically available to you, replacing Dashboard 1.0.
A default dashboard is available for each subscription. To view this dashboard, no further settings related to rights management are required. The default dashboard cannot be edited.
With a monitoring subscription or pay-as-you-go subscription, only the default dashboard is available. |
To create and edit a custom dashboard, your subscription must include rights management and the respective right must be enabled for the respective user group.
To be able to set rights for individual user groups, you must have the right to edit user groups. You can find more information about rights management here. |
Who sees what in the Dashboard 2.0?
The data in Dashboard 2.0 is displayed entity-based, meaning that sub-entities only see their data. Who sees what in the dashboard is also primarily dependent on the rights management. Users only see the data for which they have the respective rights. The created dashboards are always limited to one group. This means, for example, that if you belong to the administrator group and create a dashboard, then all other administrators can see and edit this dashboard. Edits are always shown to the entire group.
Example: You are an administrator and you create a dashboard. Another administrator further edits your dashboard. This edited dashboard is displayed to the entire group.
If a group has access to the entire instance, then they can also see all the data in the dashboards that are available to them (e.g. the data in the default dashboard). |
If you belong to multiple groups and create a dashboard, then all of your groups will see the dashboard.
If the creator subsequently removes a group, then the dashboard is no longer viewable for that group.
ATTENTION when editing further! If you create a dashboard and another user from your group, who belongs to other groups in addition to your group, continues to edit it, then these changes are only displayed to the users from the creator group! |
Example: You belong to the administrators group and create a dashboard. Another user from the Administrators group, who also belongs to the Technicians group, continues to edit it. These changes are then displayed to the administrators, but not to the technicians. The group of the creator is always decisive here!
Creating a new dashboard
Step 1
To create a new dashboard, go to the Dashboard tab in be.ENERGISED. Then click on the + and the "Open Dashboard" menu will pop up.
If you or other users in your group have already created one or more dashboards, they will be visible here and can be opened. You will see all the dashboards you have access to. Further down you can go to the green button "Create new dashboard".
Step 2
Next you can enter the title and a description of the dashboard. With the item "Date" you can narrow down the information displayed in the dashboard in terms of time. Relative time periods available to you are last day, last week, last month, last 3 months, last 6 months and "Custom". For "Custom", you can enter the number of days depending on how far back you want the information to go.
As absolute period you can define any period.
By clicking on "Next" you create a new, empty dashboard.
Step 3: adding widgets
For the dashboard, a variety of different widgets are available with which you can personalize your dashboard. Widgets will also be added and expanded in the future. A small overview of individual widgets with more detailed explanation can be found here.
The widgets are always in English, they are sorted alphabetically and under each of them you will also find a short explanation in English regarding what this widget is about. Widgets are added to the dashboard by clicking on the widget.
Widgets cannot be resized, with one exception (placeholder widget, see info box below).
Once a widget is added, you can change its position, delete or edit the widget. In the edit menu (pencil icon), depending on the widget, you can, for example, change the title and color of the widget, set the data period specifically for that widget, or filter the data according to a particular station group or CRM contact.
The date filter set specifically on a widget always overrides the data period set for the entire dashboard. For reference, you can see the data period for the dashboard you created in the dashboard's tab, and the data period for the widget under the widget's title. |
All widgets are automatically displayed in the selection menu. However, you can also select them from specific categories. These categories are Charging processes, Finance, Infrastructure, Customer and Structure.
Special case placeholder widget: The so-called placeholder widget with the name "Overview text" can be found in the category "Structure". The placeholder widget differs from other widgets in that it can be resized freely, otherwise contains no data, and only a title/text can be entered, with the possibility to change the color of the widget as well. The purpose of the placeholder widget is to help you structure your dashboard. |
After you have added/arranged/edited all the widgets that are relevant to you, save the dashboard. After that, your dashboard will be available to you in its own tab.
After creating the dashboard
Once you have the dashboard in front of you, there are more options available.
Additional information
Almost all widgets, when you hover your mouse over the charts and data, will display additional information about the data.
Additionally, for many widgets, clicking on them will take you to the specific area in be.ENERGISED. These are usually the single KPI widgets.
Single KPI widgets are those widgets that do not show a chart, but only a total number. Examples for Single KPI Widgets are Total number of charging processes, Total number of registered charging stations, Total revenue etc. |
In order to see data when redirected, you must have the respective right. If you do not have this right, you will be redirected to a "blank page". |
Edit dashboard
You and other users from your group can also edit the dashboard. By clicking on the Edit button in the upper right corner, you will be redirected to the editing menu of the dashboard.
Here you can change the title and description of the dashboard, change the data period and add more widgets, as it was the case when you created it.
Last but not least, you also have the option to delete the entire dashboard here.
