It is now possible to differentiate between the operating hours of a station and the opening hours of a supermarket, for example, during which time customers can charge for free. To understand the function, some definitions of terms are provided here:
Operating time: The operating time defines the period during which charging can be carried out at a charging station (by default this is possible 24/7). By defining an operating time from, for example, 06:00 to 22:00, charging can be limited to this period.
Opening hours: These times refer, for example, to the opening hours of a retail company (e.g.: supermarket etc.). With the correct configuration in the be.ENERGISED backend, different tariff conditions can be defined during opening hours that are outside of opening hours.
Transitional time: A period of time (in the example given it is 30 minutes) BEFORE the start of opening hours and AFTER the end of opening hours.
Authorization mode: This period of time ends with the beginning of the transitional time period and begins with the end of the opening hours.
Under the following circumstances a charging process can be cancelled. A connection to the backend is mandatory. If the station is offline, then cancellation attempts will not be successful. The back end will continue to try and send remote stop attempts. |
Concrete examples of when a loading process is terminated:
- A charging process can be limited by the terms of the tariff regulations that you defined (e.g. 60 minutes) and after the defined time has elapsed, the charging process is automatically cancelled.
- If a charging process is started BEFORE the end of the opening time, it can continue to charge until the end of the transition period: Charging starts at 17:45 and ends at 18:30 when the transitional time ends.
- If a charging process starts during the operating time, it will be terminated with the switch at the end of the transition period: Charging is started at 07:00 and stopped at 07:30.
Whenever a charging process was cancelled by the system a new charging session can be started in the new period of time set. |
