be.ENERGISED supports the establishment of graduated prices for time and performance-based costs for the charging of loading operations. Thus, you can define that for a charging operation, the first 2 minutes are free, the following X minutes cost price A per hour, then price B per hour. You can configure the same settings for performance-based costs.
We recommend for tariffs for both time and performance a range of approximately the first 2 minutes or 5Wh free and start a billing only after exceeding that limit. In that way you can prevent a multitude of customer inquiries, if failing charging processes are billed. |
Below you find an explanation of the configuration of the graduated price through an example.
A charging process should include a cost share of 0.30 cents per kWh and a utilization rate of EUR 3.00 per hour. Billings of failing charging processes are to be avoided.
Please note that all prices are recorded as net prices in the system and the sales tax applicable in each case will be added by the system. |
The following tables give you an overview of what values you should configure as a graduated price in each case to obtain the desired configuration. We are configuring the intervals using the following procedures:
- The first 2 minutes and the first 200 Wh are charged at a cost factor of 0.00 EUR. In case of an error during the first two minutes of a charging process minimum loads are not charged to the customer out of goodwill.
- During the third minute or better in the third Wh the amount of the first 3 interval units will be charged. This means that with a successful charging process, the first 2 minutes/ 200 Wh will be charged.
- The 4th interval indicates the value which is charged starting from the 4th interval. Since No. 4 is the highest value in the table seen below, this is used from occurrence to “infinity”.
In the following example we have added a sales tax rate of 20% as a basis, which results in a net hourly rate of EUR 2.50 and a net kWh price of EUR 0.25.

2 0.00 |
2 0.00 |
3 0.1251 |
3 0.75 |
4 0.0417 |

Please note that during the performance-based billing the interval is performed in Wh, the price quotation should nevertheless be indicated in kWh. |
Add a scaled price over the respective button “Add price scale” and specify to the values mentioned above. The screenshot below shows a sample configuration for the time interval from minute 3:
Please make sure that the respective highest interval value is used from occurrence to “infinity”. If you want to limit costs, you must insert at the specific time limit and the value “0”.
After entering and recording each interval, they are displayed according to the overview in the Cost Configuration and also explained accordingly in the list. Please check again whether the cost calculation meets your requirements and the desired destination!
