From now on it is possible to perform signed firmware updates in be.ENERGISED.
You can perform firmware updates at your charging station in be.ENERGISED via the charging station data sheet under Infrastructure/Charging stations/Station list.
There, go to the item "Station management" and then to "Firmware-Update".
By clicking on "Firmware Update" you will be redirected to the window where you previously entered the URL for the firmware update. Here, a slider for signed firmware updates has been added to the interface. If you set this to YES, the fields "Signing Certificate" and "Signature" appear.
Please note that for conventional firmware updates, only the "URL" field is still a mandatory field. If you do not want to perform a signed firmware update, just enter the link provided by ChargePoint be.ENERGISED support in this field as usual.
If you want to execute a signed firmware update, you have to also fill the fields "Signing Certificate" and "Signature" accordingly.
Both fields are text fields where you enter the string from the certificate file and from the signature file. You can get the certificate file and the signature file from your charging station manufacturer.
In the example below you can see what this would look like in case of a signed firmware update for an Alfen station.
Clicking on "Update charging station now" will perform the update. Details can then be obtained from the communication logs of the charging station.
Additional information on the charging station data sheet can be found here.
